About Your Photographer

Hey y'all, it's me Heidi. I'm the 5'2" goof ball behind the lens. My most frequent request is, to do more about myself, so new comers can get an insight on who they are hiring. Well here goes nothing. ( insert basic Q&A)

1.) How did you get started?

Well I honestly wanted a camera since I was a little girl. My parents and family would get me disposable ones all the time. Once I become pregnant with my second child I basically begged for a Canon (rebel t6) for Christmas. Once Lucas was born I really took the time to educate myself through all sorts of channels. since I have upgraded to a mirrorless canon.

2.) What is your favorite style of shoot you like to do?

I love all my sessions as each one is unique and creates a lifetime memory. However recently I have found a new love for boudoir and making women feel amazing in their own skin. We get so lost in todays image of beauty we forget that we are beautiful and breath taking in our own ways.

3.) What tips would you give clients when booking?

Before you ever decide a date, pick the theme. This way we can pick the perfect time of year , location , styling , pintrest boards , and any questions you may have. When we work together closely I make sure you have enough time for your ideas and visions.

4.) What tips would you give beginner photographers?

YOUTUBE was my best friend learning how to operate the basics on my new camera. From there it sparked questions and ideas so I moved to asking friends for advice. Any great photographer has always been kind and willing to help me in all my endeavors. Facebook has great communities as well as just getting out there and going for it.
